Publishing from BEx WAD to Portal crashes BW Server

We have a peculiar issue where the BW system shuts down once we click on publish to portal from BEx WAD. Any query, any template results in the same system crashing of BI7. However, from the BEx Query Designer, the report publishes fine to the portal.

Any help?
