Hi,
I have recently upgraded SAP GUI , BI to 7.3 version from previous 7.0 version, and facing issue with file extension when opening query or workbook from BEx Analyzer add in excel.
When performing open query or workbook from 7.0 version the excel default takes file extension as .XLS
while when using 7.3 the default extension is .XLSM
Tried few of the below options:
1. Open query , and from Global Settings -> Default Workbook applied setting "Use XLS File Format"
after applying that setting all the future query execution takes default XLS format.
But when i perform Open Workbook, the workbook is still taking extension as .XLSM irrespective of making changes in Global Settings.
Am i missing anything ? or what can i do to have XLS as default extension to all queries and workbook that i open.
Considering i have lot of old reports which refers files with .XLS extension and after upgrading to 7.3, all the reports have stopped working.
Software on my system
1. SAP GU 7.3
2. Front end patch "gui730_2-10010496"
3. Windows 7
4. microsoft Office 2010
