How to delete characteristic variable selection value in cmod

Hi,

My requirement is to delete characteristic variable selection value. Using zdate customer exit variable taking selection value (e.g. M) and we are doing date calculation.

After doing date calculation i want to delete characteristic variable selection value.

Please help on this to write code in CMOD.
