Hi all,
in our reporting we used info object "0PROJECT" and few objects added as attributes at info object level..
1 of the attribute for 0project is "total planned abondance" which is a key figure....
when you run report values are like this 1125 M 1502 M here we want to avoid M as "total planned abondance" is a sub field we are unable to apply NODIM function....
please let us know if any soultion...

Hi,
When I open SAP BEx from the Windows Start menu it doesn't open. Nothing happens. I checked in the processes and I can see Excel program is running in the background but it doesn't open with the BEx add-in. So I have to uninstall SAP BEx from my Windows 7 PC. Now I need to reinstall SAP BEx program, I am not sure how to reinstall it. I have the SAPGUI730 installable with me but I don't know which setup file I need to run for BEx to come back. Please advise.

As you can see, one employee can have some test result depending the examination date.
But, in my report, I have to get only the last test result by examination date.
And also the level on my query is the health center?
How I can do this?

Recently I got a new machine and with it a newly installed SAP GUI 730 Patch 0.
The issue is that if I open any query in the BEx Query Designer in the development system, it gives an error:
Terminate: Unexpected error: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE - 00024invalid gui data: dialog step number missing
Our local helpdesk taking care of installations is not able to help us as this issue occurs only when opening a query in development system. For all other systems (in display mode), it works fine.
Please let us know any pointers you may have.

We are analysisng the below mentioned issue raised by a user in our production system. (Version 7.3)
User has created a view for a report and arranaged the layout as per his requirement through portal report (
Web).
Now when he was trying to do the similar thing throgh Bex analyser he was getting ‘An error occurered while
communicating with BW server:No more storage space available for extending an internal table’.
To trace down this issue we tried replicating to create the report as per the layout provided by user both
in Web as well as Bex analyser.
In both, we are able to create similar report layout upto certain extent and then while trying to drill
down on next characteristic we are getting the dump.
We want to understand the below two thingd regarding this issue:
What could be the reason for that?
If anyone has faced similar issue earlier please share your expereinces.

I have a requirement to display fiscal period values from previous fiscal year till date. For example , currently we are on period 8 i.e 008.2014(october), the user wants to see breakdown of sales value starting from 001.2013 to 008.2014. Also he does not want to see the fiscal variant. the User also insists to see the value such as April 2013 May 2013 instead of 001.2013 ,002.2013.
How can i achieve this. Do i have write a CMOD exit. If yes, then i guess it will have to be I_step 1 as no user input is requiired. By default the system should be able to calculate the current period fro sy-datum.
Any help would be appreciated.

In my Bex Report i am facing an issue where I need to pick one single identical value out of multiples entries for a keyfigure.
I am using Exception Aggregation which is giving me correct values for few billing documents but
many billingdocuments exist with multiple repeatative billing condition types due to which exception aggregation is not working.
Is it possible to write a logic as such :
If characteristic ' condition type' values are unique key figures will be aggregated using exception aggregation with reference char as condition type
otherwise if characteristic is not unique then repetitive entries will be discarded and then apply exception aggregation using condition type as ref char
If this logic can be implemented I am sure to get the desired results. Please advise. For reference I need to show 5030,000 for the
BIL DOC 6102053510. But due to presence of ZFR2 condition type twice, exception aggregation is failing.
Can you please advise to solve this?

My end users are facing data mis match in reporting. We have Z report "Budget and Actuals" in profit centre accounting.
Cube: 0PCA_C01.
1.Update mode (Data Load) - Full Load on daily basis.
2. Datasource & Info source - 0EC_PCA_1
3. Ecc Report: Tx S_ALR_87013326
Analysis: Number of records in RSA3 at ECC is same as off Loaded records in BW.
Data load is succesful. But still is saying there is data mismatch ECC & BW. They are saying Account Numbers which shows 0 amount (Zero in ECC) but shows some figure in BW report and some accounts has diifernce in figure compare to ECC & BW report.
Please advice.

I have an issue in bex queries .when I was trying to execute the queries in rsrt it shows the field names as formulas in the out put. When we refresh it and execute it again it shows correctly. please help me to resolve this issue. Some times its working fine but some times it will be like this any inputs will be helpful. I will award points for the answers .for further reference I am giving you the screen shots also.

I have migrated some of the web templates for 3.x to 7.2 then we imported to Q-System.

Hi BW Chaps,
I have created a role for specific users to authorise only specific set of profit centers based upon regions.
I made profit center as authorisation relevant at back end and also created variable of type characteristic with processing type manual entry/default value.
Not mandatory though.
Now, in the variable screen when I give blank under profit center and run the query the output of the query is taking all the Profit centers which the user is not authorised and throwing me an error as user is not authorised when I check in Rsecadmin tcode logs.
However it runs fine if the user selects any of the profit centres and run the query.
Can any one help me out where lies the problem when I am giving nothing at profit center variable screen.

One of my customers are upgrading from BW 3.5 to BW 7.0, their question is
Can they call BEx 3.5 having existing OLAP queries with BW 7.0 ?
Or is it mandatory to migrate BEx 3.5 to 7.0 adapting APIs ?

As per BEx query design in the Filter Pane I have one dynamic filter but when I am executing this report using Analyzer or RSRT I am getting some extra Selection parameter. Could someone please suggest how these extra selection parameters are coming.

I am not much familiar with Web Application Template so would like to have an opinion on below points,
1/ We have a Web Template created on two BEx queries. Here we are displaying the variable input values for Customer on top left corner of the output screen. We could see values in output screen only when we give some input values on variable screen for Customer. Is it possible to display all values of Customer which will be available in output without selecting them on variable screen??
2/ We want the report to print so is it possible to display the output on separate pages?? For eg. we have Customer and Contract Number object available in Free Char only so whenever there is new combination of Customer and Contract Number Web Template should display output on separate page.
3/ We have one Tab containing two queries and these queries are displayed one after another. Is it possible to maintain two line space between these two query outputs in Web Template?

For my report requirement, i have created Multi Provider on top of Vendor(0FIAP_C03) and GL Line Item (ZFIGL_C01).
Eg : Vendor Cube Char & Keyfig GL Cube Char & Keyfig
1) Vendor (C) 1) GL Account (C)
2) Document No (C) 2) Document No (C)
3) Vendor Payable Amt (K) 3) TDS Payable (K)
4) Basic Amount (K) 4) WCT Payable (K)
After creating report on MP it is showing # value in Vendor column and blanks in TDS & WCT columns, to avoid this i used "Constant Selection" in TDS n WCT columns , up to this report working fine, but when i remove document no from rows, total value for TDS & WCT is showing wrong and remaining are fine.
Please suggest how to get correct values even after removing Doc No form rows. Total value should be same as like first screen shot even after removing DocNno from rows. Please find the same in attached screen shots.

Descriptions of char and kfg are maintained in German language.
Users log in in English need to see the description in German, but currently only see the technical name of the elements.
Is there a way to maintain a language setting, in our case German, that is valid independently of log in language?

We have created our own unit of measurement via transaction CUNI and assigned a commercial and technical format to this unit.
We now want to use this unit in our BEx query but we want to show the technical format of the unit (as the commercial format is limited to 3 characteristics and this is not enough to have a clear abbreviation of our unit).
How can this be changed in the BEx query?

I am sure most of you have come across multiple issues during BEX workbook upgrade from 3.x to 7.x. Most of the customers use BEX workbooks pretty heavily. Some of the workbooks might have huge number of tabs. I have seen workbooks with 50+ tabs. Do you believe it? I am not kidding…
The BEX 7.x is based on .NET framework. A process can allocate a maximum of approximately 1.2 gigabytes (GB) in the .NET framework, regardless of the memory capacity in the front-end. This corresponds to approximately 750,000 data cells.
Following are some of the potential solutions, if you get the error “Client out of memory” in the upgraded workbook.
(1) Net..Net…Plan to upgrade the back-end and front-end patches to leverage the above-mentioned features so that you can avoid memory related errors in the upgraded workbook.
In the next part, I am going to talk about the missing features in BEX 7.x workbook compared to BEX 3.x workbook and provide alternate options to overcome the same.
